Terms of Service
Startup MRI is a free, no-signup service. These terms describe what the service does, what it does not promise, and who owns what. The terms are written for the actual product, not for a hypothetical enterprise contract.

Quick answer
What these terms cover
Startup MRI is a decision-support tool, not a prediction engine. Scores are deterministic heuristics that help founders think through their idea; they are not guarantees of outcome. You own the ideas you submit; we store a copy so the report URL keeps working. The service is provided as-is, with no warranty of any specific result.
1. The service
Startup MRI runs a deterministic rule engine over the inputs you submit (idea, audience, monetization, distribution, technical background) and returns an 7-dimension report. An AI-written narrative layer is added on top of the engine output. The narrative is grounded in the rule-engine scores and your inputs; it does not invent scores and it does not predict outcomes.
2. What the service does not promise
Startup MRI does not predict whether a startup will succeed. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, or investment advice. It does not replace customer interviews, prototypes, or any other form of primary research. A high score does not guarantee a viable business. A low score does not mean the idea is impossible. Treat the report as one structured opinion among many, not as a verdict.
3. Ownership of inputs and outputs
You retain ownership of the ideas, text, and choices you submit. We retain a copy of the inputs and the generated report so the report URL keeps working. We do not claim ownership of the report text. You may publish, share, or delete the report at your discretion. We do not use your submitted ideas to train AI models.
4. Acceptable use
Do not submit content that you do not have the right to submit, content that is unlawful, content that targets a specific individual, or content that contains credentials, financial account numbers, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal data. The free-text idea field is for your idea description, not for sensitive personal information. Reports that violate this rule may be removed without notice.
- No personal data about identifiable third parties (no name + SSN, no medical history, no financial account numbers).
- No content that infringes a copyright, trademark, or trade secret you do not own.
- No content submitted in bulk by automated means without prior written agreement.
5. Intellectual property
The Startup MRI name, the rule engine, the report layout, and the published articles on this site are owned by the operator. You may quote from the published articles with attribution. You may not replicate the rule engine or the report layout for a competing commercial service without permission.
6. Limitation of liability
The service is provided as-is, with no warranty of any specific result. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost profits, lost business opportunities, or decisions made on the basis of the report. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service — which is zero, because the service is free.
7. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects what you have submitted, we will update the effective date above and add a note in the next report footer. Continued use of the service after a change indicates acceptance of the new terms.
